How is HHO Used?

The addition of HHO gas allows a leaner mixture with less emissions and heat.  It is theorized that at the moment of ignition, the HHO gas ignites releasing the extra electrons into the igniting gasoline. The added energy from the HHO  results in a near complete burn of the hydrocarbon fuel.

The first step to fully burning hydrocarbon fuel is to have enough oxygen in the combustion chamber to allow all of the fuel to be burned.  This is called the air-fuel ratio.

In modern cars, this is set by a computer at 14.7 parts of air to 1 part of gas, which is considered the ideal mixture for lowest emissions.

An air/gas ratio as high as 16 to 1 is much more economical, giving you increased miles per gallon. However, under normal circumstances, this results in less horsepower, more pollution and more heat in the engine.
